At Deeds Solar Solutions, our mission is to deliver reliable, efficient, and long-lasting solar energy systems to every customer. We are committed to providing quality products, excellent workmanship, and ongoing support.
Our warranty is designed not only to protect your investment but also to give you peace of mind. At the same time, there are necessary limitations to protect our team and our business from misuse, neglect, or damage caused by external factors.
This document outlines the terms of our warranty coverage and the responsibilities of each customer to maintain that coverage.
1. Scope of Warranty
This limited warranty applies only to solar energy systems that:
- Are purchased directly from Deeds Solar Solutions ("Deeds Solar"),
- Are installed by Deeds Solar personnel, and
- Are paid for in full.
No warranty is offered for systems or components that are:
- Unpaid,
- Installed by third parties, or
- Provided or purchased independently by the customer (i.e., not supplied through Deeds Solar).
2. Warranty Coverage
Deeds Solar provides the following limited warranties to the original purchaser:
a) Installation Workmanship
A 3-year warranty on workmanship, covering installation quality such as:
- Wiring,
- Electrical connections,
- Mounting structures.
This warranty excludes damage caused by:
- Poor site conditions (e.g., flood zones),
- Customer-directed installation in unsafe or unsuitable areas,
- Modifications or tampering by third parties,
- Improper handling, storage, or maintenance of equipment as outlined in the Deeds Solar System Care Guideline.
b) System Components
- 1-year repair or replacement warranty on all system components.
- 3-year repair or replacement warranty on batteries.
All warranties begin on the date of installation and apply only to the original system owner.
Deeds Solar will assess reported issues to determine if they qualify for warranty coverage. If a covered defect is found, Deeds Solar may choose to:
- Repair the faulty part,
- Replace it with an identical or equivalent item,
- Or restore system functionality through other appropriate measures.
No new or extended warranty will be issued on repaired or replaced items.
3. Exclusions & Limitations
This warranty does not cover:
- Fire, flood, storm, lightning, or other natural disasters,
- Abuse, misuse, or neglect,
- Overloading or improper operation,
- Modifications not authorized by Deeds Solar,
- Failures caused by faulty supporting systems (e.g., generators, undersized PV),
- Battery failure due to prolonged deep discharge,
- Rodent, insect, or small animal damage (e.g., lizards/geckos shorting mainboards),
- Environmental exposure beyond rated specifications.
Deeds Solar is not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages,
- Loss of use or income,
- Equipment downtime or repair delays.
4. Customer Responsibilities
All customers are required to follow the Deeds Solar System Care Guideline as a condition of this warranty. This includes routine care, safe handling, and responsible operation of all system components.
Customers must:
- Operate and maintain the system as advised,
- Follow all written recommendations,
- Maintain clean, dry, and ventilated environments,
- Avoid placing components in hazardous or pest-prone areas,
- Monitor the system regularly and report faults promptly,
- Ensure supporting equipment (e.g., generators) is functional.
Failure to follow recommendations voids the warranty for affected components.
If a covered fault occurs:
- Deeds Solar will first perform a remote assessment via phone or online communication at no cost,
- If necessary, Deeds Solar will conduct an on-site inspection to complete the assessment,
- Repairs or replacements will be provided at Deeds Solar’s discretion,
- No service call fees apply during the warranty period.
5. Legal Terms
- This warranty is valid only within Belize.
- It is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
- Deeds Solar reserves the right to revise warranty terms with notice.
A copy of this guideline can be provided at installation.
Deeds Solar may also request a signed acknowledgment from the customer confirming they received and understood these instructions.
